The tiger building is a grade 2 listed building with the interior that needed modernisation and adjustments to provide a safe space for a children’s nursery. The works were carried out during the school summer holidays.
Existing floors were removed to install db matting for noise cancellation properties, together with an Isowool layer to further insulate and reduce noise levels below. A new, fully levelled, 22mm underfloor heating system was installed and protected with a 9mm capping layer. The room was finished with a 22mm hardwood floor and skirting. Ramps were introduced to accommodate the new levels. The works included upgrading the mechanical and electrical installations together with decorations.
Our work was carried out very sensitively to take care of parts of the building that dated back to the 14th Century.
