This project comprised a comprehensive new services fit out and partial refurbishment of a long redundant teach-ing block on the college campus to provide new Science teaching facilities.

The entire roof space was insulated to form a warm roof structure whilst the external walls were clad with cedar weather boarding externally and insulated internally. A new boiler room was constructed within the building and a new heating system installed throughout the entire building. New aluminium windows were also installed.

A section of the building was reconfigured with new parti-tions and suspended ceilings providing a new physics teaching laboratory and an innovative design centre. The physics laboratory also included fume cupboards and a state of the art positive pressure ventilation system. As-sociated facilities, including an emergency chemical washdown area were also provided.

Nominal structural repairs and alteration to the surface drainage system concluded work to this project.
