This project was spread over several phases and a number of areas of a live hospital environment. The first phase included refurbishment and alterations over two floor levels of a live clinical area to provide a new Poly Trauma Theatre.

Additional beds and ward space were created in further phases were consultation rooms and other non-clinical areas were altered to create a number of additional ward areas with ancillary rooms and services.

In addition, a new Cardiac Theatre was constructed in a link building which provided access between two areas of the hospital. The theatre required the provision and installation of the full range of medical services, theatre controls, equipment and alarms, all connected to, and supplied from, the hospitals’ existing live services.

This contract was procured under the NEC3 form of contract.
