Pennthorpe School, Rudgwick

The construction of a new Pre-Prep Building, providing a state of the art kindergarten facility and eight new classrooms. The building was cut into wooded slopes at the rear of the school with water-proofed reinforced concrete retaining walls to the lower levels, a tanking system connecting with the air-tight build of the steel and masonry superstructure. A hi-tech building management system automatically controls heating and ventilation levels within the facility. Rainwater harvesting and bi-folding doors opening onto individual garden play areas are included in the features of this project.
