Conversion of Industrial Premises to form new offices at Pannetts, Lewes

Alterations and refurbishment of an industrial building on the riverside in Lewes to form new office accommodation. The works included the breaking out of existing concrete silos and removing a number of internal walls to open up the space. External fabric repairs were undertaken including brickwork repairs below the high water mark, new roof coverings and replacement windows and doors.

Incoming mains supplies were upgraded and extensive mechanical, electrical and data (CDP) services were installed to all areas. A new galvanised steel staircase was installed from ground floor through to the third floor. Wall and floor finishes were renewed at all levels the architectural design made use of a number of original features, such as bare brick walls and the retention of the sack hoist at third floor level.
