The new building was constructed above the existing consultation and treatment areas, thus requiring major structural alterations to the existing building and comprising a new steel frame structure with a Kingspan horizontal

cladding system. A new passenger lift and the requisite electrical, mechanical and air-conditioning services were installed. All windows and doors were up-graded, specialist joinery fitted and all areas decorated whilst the building was occupied.
