The Ebert Room was transformed from an old, but redundant, rehearsal studio into a versatile studio theatre and workshop space. With a retractable tiered seating unit, which folds away behind bespoke timber wall panelling, and a fixed balcony, the refurbished room can provide seating for up to 140 people. In addition, the room now boasts a height-adjustable stage, performance lighting, sound and projection equipment, acoustic wall panelling and an environmentally efficient

heating and cooling system which is concealed beneath the new maple raised floor. The refurbishment included the installation of an induction loop and Sennheiser audio enhancement system.
