A new build development of 11 traditionally styled flint clad homes in the picturesque village of East Dean on the South Coast. This scheme delivered a mix of 1 bedroom flats and 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses in 5 buildings, with garages and car ports, in a the South Downs National Park.

This traditionally procured client designed scheme uti-lised the benefits of off-site manufacture for a timber framed structure whilst employing a flint clad exterior with clay roof tiles and timber windows to pick up on the local vernacular and thoughtful design detailing to sym-pathetically integrate into its surroundings.

The development included a number of units for social housing and 7 houses, from a terrace of three to a spa-cious 4 bedroom luxury home, for sale on the open mar-ket.

This green field site on the edge of the village required extensive landscaping and external works and included the co-ordination and installation of gas, water and elec-tric utilities into site from Gilberts Drive under a section 278 agreement.
