Clarendon Mansions, Brighton

Clarendon Mansions, is located on the south east corner of East Street, at the junction with Grand Junction Road. It is a detached building and is flanked on its north and east sides by Brills Lane. A key part of the refurbishment was carried out within the vaulted cellars with these extending out from the building beneath the public highway, the client wishing to utilise these for breakout zones. The building, comprising 4 storeys and attic over basement, was originally constructed in approximately 1869 as a hotel and later converted into flats, the ground floor remaining a public House un-til recently.
