Alterations & Refurbishment to Brighton General Hospital

The project comprised of the alteration and refurbishment of the first and second floors within D Block to form new offices with demountable glazed partitions. Works also included new kitchens & WC’s, M&E installations, suspended ceilings and floor coverings. The works took place within a live hospital environment so good communication with hospital staff was necessary at all times. The site manager had weekly meetings with the manager of the department to discuss and agree any shutdown of existing services, noisy works or other aspects affecting occupied areas by hospital staff. This scheme was phased requiring the second floor to be completed in order to allow the client to move from the first floor to the second, thus enabling works to commence on the first floor. Both phases were completed on time.
