This 43 bed purpose-built residential home, procured on a design and build basis, has been sympathetically designed to offer the highest quality, specialised care for residents who are living with memory loss, including Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Communal areas are designed to encourage social interaction alongside calming retreats where residents can enjoy smaller groups of friends or private time with family.

Each bedroom is equipped with a two way intercom facility, enabling effective communication between residents and staff to including illuminating memory boxes to assist with bedroom wayfinding. Additional facilities include underfloor heating and climate control providing an ambient temperature according to personal preference of each resident and Wi-Fi throughout the building.

The gardens and grounds at Blatchington Manor have been designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment. Defined areas include The Orchard, the kitchen garden, where residents can ‘try their hand’ at growing vegetables and flowers, The Water Garden, the quiet courtyard, Memory Lane and a stunning, Woodland Walk. Inset lighting to paved areas, paths, trees and structural planting add an exciting dimension to all outside areas and carefully selected plants and water features are designed to maximise the sensory and tactile experience.
